The whistleblower was identified by The Guardian as Mark MacGann, who served as the firm’s senior lobbyist in Europe from 2014 to 2016. MacGann leaked more than 120,000 documents, mostly emails but also WhatsApp chats and other types of media dubbed “Uber files.
